How to clean linoleum flooring
How to clean linoleum flooring… Linoleum flooring in sheet or tile form is traditionally made by calendering (applying by heat and pressure) onto hessian or another type of base, a composition consisting of oxidized or polymerized linseed oil, resins, wood flour, cork and inorganic fillers.
Linoleum is toughened and indentation resistant grades of linoleum have been developed by changes in the type of drying oils and resins. Although extensively used until the 1950s, linoleum has largely been replaced by PVC (vinyl) and other types of floor coverings. THat said, high-quality linoleum is still used today, particularly in hospitals and health care facilities.
